The value of merchandise exports from Latin America and the Caribbean will contract by 14% in 2015, according to estimates in the latest IDB report.

According to the IDB, 2015 will be the third consecutive year in which the region’s external sales have shrunk. Unlike previous years, when some heterogeneity was observed in subregional performances, in 2015 almost all LAC countries will experience a contraction in exports.
